“ghostONE” Wallbox Recognised with the iF Design Award

eSystems MTG GmbH has been honoured with the prestigious “iF Design Award” for their intelligent wallbox, competing against 11,000 entries from over 70 countries. Its straightforward design offers clear benefits for customers while allowing for easy rebranding

The “ghostONE” wallbox, used for AC charging of electric vehicles, has been distinguished in the “iF Design Award” in the “Automotive” category, under the “Product Design” discipline. The rationale for the award states: The clear, appealing design ensures a user-friendly appearance. Separating the casing into functional parts means client companies can easily rebrand it. The modular casing platform permits integration of multiple customer solutions in a single enclosure. “From the outset, we have made every effort to ensure that our wallbox is not only technically state of the art but also sets design trends – that’s why we are particularly pleased about this award,” emphasises Jochen Paukert, Managing Director at eSystems. “The award makes it clear it: ghostONE is not only intelligent, its design is also a standout feature.”

The ghostONE wallbox developed by eSystems is one of the technological leaders among intelligent wallboxes. It can communicate encrypted with the electric vehicle to exchange charging plans, charge from personal photovoltaic power, and utilise dynamic tariffs – all without interruption to charging. ghostONE was designed as a white-label wallbox. Its design can be fully tailored to the brand identity of a particular provider. The wallbox is compatible with nearly all electric and hybrid models. The iF Design Award is presented annually by the world’s oldest independent design organisation, iF International Forum Design GmbH. This year, a 132-member independent international expert jury selected the best designs from nearly 11,000 entries from 72 countries. The ghostONE’s industrial design was developed by Stefan Glöckler and Martin Wohlbold from “Scala Design Technische Produktentwicklung GmbH” based in Gärtringen.
